En poco más de una hora, San José venció en sets corridos a San Martín y logró la clasificación a los cuartos de final. El equipo de Guillermo Nazabal logró su segundo triunfo en el cuadrangular, con parciales de 25-13, 25-14 y 25-21.
El encuentro comenzó con Ciampo encendida en ataque para que San José tome la mínima ventaja (8-7). La de Formosa reaccionaron con Gon y Alvarenga, pero Enrique sumó por el centro y mantuvo a su equipo al frente. Además, San Martín no pudo contener en defensa y sufrió el buen saque de Cot para que la ventaja se estire. Las dirigidas por Nazabal aprovecharon los errores de su rival (9 en el set) y con un bloqueo de García sellaron el primer parcial por 25-13.
San Martín ingresó más concentrado al segundo chico y rápidamente se puso 5-3, pero Purciariello se hizo importante con sus toques y creció en la distribución para que García marque la diferencia por la punta y San José lidere el marcador (11-7). Las entrerrianas continuaron firmes, sacándole provecho a las imprecisiones de su rival y dominaron el juego. Jovanovich fue la principal carta de ataque de San Martín, pero las dirigidas por Nazabal se mostraron efectivas y aumentaron la brecha. San José volvió a ser muy superior y lo ganó por 25-14.
El tercer capítulo mostró un inicio parejo, con el conjunto entrerriano sumando a través de las imprecisiones rivales para ponerse 8-7. Sin embargo, Frias Laso se activó en ataque para que San Martín lo de vuelta por 11-9, obligando a Nazabal a pedir tiempo. A partir de allí, San José se mostró contundente de contra y concentrado en defensa para volver a liderar. El desenlace continuó muy apretado, donde Jovanovich descontó para las formoseñas, mientras que Enrique y Ciampo estuvieron efectivas para que las entrerrianas manden. En un cierre con gran volumen de juego, Paterno decretó el 25-21 para que San José logre la victoria y la clasificación a los play off.
